Job Description

Fresno Pacific University is a faith-based institution dedicated to providing Christ-centered higher education and fostering holistic student development. Located in Fresno, California, this university is committed to serving diverse communities and promoting cultural diversity within its academic and administrative operations. Known for its emphasis on integrating Christian values into all aspects of university life, Fresno Pacific University offers a supportive and inclusive work environment where staff and faculty strive to help students achieve their personal and educational goals.

The university is currently seeking an Event Production Coordinator to join its University Marketing and Communication department. This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Assistant Director of Event Production and plays a critical role in orchestrating live event experiences across the campus. The Event Production Coordinator is responsible for organizing and preparing university venues for various events, including performances, meetings, conferences, and special functions. The role involves collaborating extensively with multiple university departments to align events with the institution's mission and objectives. Key responsibilities encompass managing all aspects of event execution, from initial planning and logistics to post-event evaluation. Technical expertise is vital, as the coordinator actively operates sound, lighting, and video projection consoles at different campus locations, while also designing and setting up staging, lighting, and audiovisual elements needed for each event.

This position requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills who can effectively juggle multiple projects independently. The Event Production Coordinator will manage event resources such as room layouts and stage plots, oversee inventory and maintenance of event equipment, and supervise staff including student and volunteer teams during event execution. Vendor management and ensuring compliance with university policies are also crucial duties. Additionally, the role involves participation in ongoing professional development to maintain and grow technical and event production expertise through hands-on training, online resources, and external learning opportunities.

The annual salary range for this role is approximately $45,780 to $53,040, reflecting the university's commitment to offering competitive compensation based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Fresno Pacific University further provides a comprehensive benefits package as part of its employment offer. This position offers candidates the opportunity to contribute to a faith-driven educational community, embracing the mission, vision, and values articulated in 'The Fresno Pacific Idea'. The university values teamwork, clear communication, cultural diversity, and a strong commitment to Christian faith, making it an ideal environment for individuals seeking roles that align with these principles.
