Job Description
Amazon is a global leader in e-commerce and digital services, widely recognized for its innovation, customer-centric approach, and technological advancements. The company operates a diverse ecosystem ranging from online retail platforms to cloud computing and artificial intelligence solutions. Amazon is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment where employees collaborate to push boundaries and create world-class experiences. The Event Production (EP) team at Amazon is a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to delivering high-impact, live corporate events that engage and impress customers across multiple venues and locations. This team is not only passionate about live events but also thrives on problem-solving complex logistical challenges to ensure flawless execution every time.
The role of an Event Producer within Amazon's Event Production team is critical to the success of these events. This position demands a high level of customer service orientation, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and cultures. Event Producers at Amazon are responsible for managing the full lifecycle of live events, from initial planning stages through execution and post-event wrap-up. They act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and seamless coordination with vendors, technical teams, and internal stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about event production and live experiences, especially those who enjoy managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously and adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment. The job offers an excellent platform to work on high-profile corporate events supported by Amazon’s extensive resources and innovative culture. The role requires approximately 80% travel between Seattle and Bellevue locations, providing variety and new challenges with every event.
Typical responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of event production such as handling event costs and quotes, optimizing audio, video, lighting, staging, and managing technical rehearsals. Event Producers are involved in coordinating vendor estimates, labor costs, and technical resource scheduling while leading customer planning meetings and walk-throughs. They are also tasked with pre-event preparations, including event script distribution, logistics coordination, and maintaining detailed run-of-show documents. On show days, they manage on-site operations, rehearsals, and live event execution, responding dynamically to any challenges or changes.
Post-event responsibilities are equally important and involve finalizing vendor costs, supporting venue strike activities, contributing to business review reporting, and addressing any post-event customer needs. The role also encourages continuous process improvement to enhance operational efficiency and event quality. Working at Amazon provides an inclusive and empowering workplace where all employees are valued for their unique contributions. The Event Producer position offers not only the chance to be part of a highly collaborative team but also to grow professionally while creating memorable event experiences for Amazon's diverse customers.
