Job Description
Filoli is a renowned historic estate located in Woodside, California, known for its breathtaking gardens, elegant architecture, and rich history. As a premier Bay Area destination, Filoli offers visitors a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage, making it a beloved community landmark and an inspiring place for events and gatherings. The organization is deeply committed to preserving the estate's legacy while engaging the public through innovative programming and unforgettable experiences. Filoli operates as a non-profit that emphasizes community connection, education, and accessibility for all visitors. This dedication to inclusivity and quality makes Filoli not only a place of beauty but also a dynamic institution focused on growth and impact.
The role of Event Producer at Filoli is a unique opportunity for a creative and strategic professional to lead and manage high-profile events that bring the estate to life. The Event Producer is responsible for the full lifecycle of ticketed events, from conceptualization and budgeting to execution and analysis. This position requires a visionary leader who can blend creativity with operational expertise to produce memorable experiences that resonate with diverse audiences. Events produced under this role include signature happenings like Nightfall, an immersive Halloween event, curated High Tea gatherings, and dynamic Summer Stage performances. Each event must run smoothly and align with Filoli's mission to foster community and promote cultural enrichment.
As a full-time, exempt position based onsite in Woodside, CA, the Event Producer works a flexible schedule that includes frequent evenings and weekends—the prime times when events activate the estate. The salary range is competitive at $102,000 to $115,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and more. The Event Producer will collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, guest experience, and operations teams to ensure every event is flawlessly executed and financially sustainable. This position also includes supervisory responsibilities, overseeing a Public Event Specialist and leading seasonal event staff, fostering a culture of mutual respect and radical candor.
Further, the Event Producer integrates Filoli’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI) into every aspect of event planning, ensuring that all visitors feel welcomed and included. This role demands a combination of strategic thinking, technical savvy, and physical stamina, as producing events at Filoli involves both office-based project management and onsite logistical coordination across uneven terrain. Candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and exhibit emotional intelligence, resourcefulness, and a passion for storytelling will find this role both challenging and rewarding. Joining Filoli means becoming part of a vibrant team dedicated to creating meaningful experiences that connect people to nature, history, and each other.
