The role available is for an Event Policies and Operations Coordinator, a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position based in New Orleans, LA, and reporting to the Senior Manager of Event Policies. This position is crucial within the business operations department and focuses primarily on supporting game day and marquee event operations. The Event Policies and Operations Coordinator will provide essential administrative support and act as a liaison among the operations, corporate partnerships, and marketing departments. This role involves assisting in the planning and execution of detailed operational procedures ensuring smooth and successful events. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing compliance with organizational policies and external regulations from the NFL, NBA, and venue authorities including the Caesars Superdome and Smoothie King Center.
Key responsibilities include coordinating credential systems, managing deliveries and promotions, conducting venue inspections before events, and supporting special events such as training camps and draft events. The position demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with team members. Candidates should have at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and ideally 1-2 years of background in professional sports or event management. This job requires a positive, solution-oriented attitude with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the game and event schedules. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and relevant software is needed alongside the capability to lift items up to 25 pounds. Job Duties
- Assist the operations department in creating and developing detailed plans and procedures for game days and marquee events
- Ensure policies and procedures comply with the teams, NFL, NBA, Caesars Superdome, Smoothie King Center, and federal, state, and local laws
- Interface with Legends Global regarding stadium and arena needs related to event policies and procedures
- Assist in managing and distributing credentials and ensuring credential system compliance for home games and marquee events
- Conduct building walkthroughs to verify operational and partnership elements are in place prior to event day
- Coordinate giveaway and promotional item deliveries including scheduling, storage, and game day movements
- Support execution of special events such as Training Camp, Mini Camp, Open Practices, and Draft events
- Continually seek out industry best practices to improve efficiency, fan experience, operations, and reduce costs
- Perform other related duties to support departmental and organizational goals
