Job Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in event planning preferably in a luxury hotel setting
- Proven ability to manage multiple events and work under pressure
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Working knowledge of banquet and catering food and beverage services and hotel policies
- High attention to detail and problem-solving capability
- Ability to innovate and creatively design event execution
- Professional demeanor and customer service focus
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Manage meetings and conventions of all sizes including group conferences and catering only events
- Attend banquet event order and staff meetings as a team leader for hotel departments in event delivery
- Achieve productivity goals and maintain accurate and organized file management
- Develop customer profiles and maintain a trace system to improve account service and increase revenues
- Focus on revenue-generating activities by retaining clients and maximizing sales opportunities
- Detail and upsell event programs including space, audio-visual, equipment, menus, themes and decorations
- Manage function details to ensure all program requirements are satisfied
- Oversee billing details including deposits, direct bill applications, credit card authorizations and coordination with accounting
