Job Description

Wolters Kluwer is a leading global information services company that provides critical data, software, and services for professionals in various sectors including healthcare, tax and accounting, finance, and legal markets. With a history of innovation and a commitment to excellence, Wolters Kluwer is dedicated to helping customers make important decisions every day. The company operates internationally with a focus on delivering high-quality information solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness in the professional world. Its extensive portfolio of services and products supports a diverse clientele, ensuring compliance and advancing knowledge in their respective fields.

This role is within the dynamic event planning team at Wolters Kluwer, specifically designed to support the execution and operational coordination of company-hosted internal events, external client-facing events, and trade shows. The Trade Show & Event Planning Specialist works under moderate guidance primarily assisting senior Event and Attendee Managers to ensure seamless event delivery. The position plays a pivotal role in managing the administrative and logistical aspects of events, including vendor onboarding, contract processing, payment coordination, and on-site registration and support. The successful candidate will also support research for venues and vendors, prepare internal recommendations, and manage event logistics like transportation and team-building activities.

The role demands operational precision and the ability to maintain a consistent attendee experience across events. The specialist will sometimes act as the lead planner for smaller Tier 3 events while continuously supporting larger initiatives. This opportunity offers a chance to be deeply involved in the details that make large-scale and smaller events successful, ensuring alignment with company standards and objectives. The position requires approximately 50 percent travel, reflecting active on-site participation in event execution. Compensation for this role ranges from $57,400 to $98,350 USD per year, and the role is bonus eligible, highlighting the importance Wolters Kluwer places on rewarding effective event management.

Wolters Kluwer emphasizes a fair and authentic hiring process, requesting candidates to engage in interviews without AI or external assistance to maintain transparency and integrity. Applicants might also be required to interview onsite at Wolters Kluwer offices, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of skills and cultural fit.

Additional benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, commuter benefits, tuition assistance, paid vacation and sick leave, and paid parental leave. Wolters Kluwer is committed to equal employment opportunities, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds and ensuring nondiscriminatory hiring practices.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with a strong background in event operations and coordination to grow within a reputable global company. It suits individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and collaborative environment, with a keen focus on delivering exceptional event experiences that align with strategic business goals. The Trade Show & Event Planning Specialist will gain valuable experience working alongside senior leaders, supporting a variety of event types, and contributing to the overall success of the company's event portfolio.
