Job Description

C L E Cotton Candy is a vibrant, locally owned gourmet cotton candy company based in Solon, Ohio, serving the Cleveland, Akron, and Northeast Ohio regions. Specializing in unique and flavorful varieties like strawberries and champagne and birthday cake, C L E Cotton Candy offers more than just a sweet treat; it's a fun and entrepreneurial business experience. As a company under Rebecca Adele PR & Events, it has experienced continual growth year after year, creating exciting opportunities for those interested in event planning, retail, social media, and business development. The company prides itself on being community-centered, dedicated to providing high-quality products and memorable experiences through various events such as markets, festivals, and private gatherings throughout Northeast Ohio.

The Fall/Winter 2026 internship at C L E Cotton Candy presents an excellent chance for students or budding professionals to immerse themselves in an engaging hybrid internship program focused on event execution, branding, marketing, and retail operations. This internship requires candidates to be located in the Cleveland, Akron, Northeast Ohio, or Canton area due to the hybrid nature of the role where interns are expected to be present in the studio at least once weekly (typically on either Monday or Tuesday) and participate in 1-3 events on average each weekend. The remaining workdays are performed remotely from home, focusing largely on digital marketing tasks such as creating and managing social media content, newsletters, e-blasts, and promotional campaigns.

Interns will develop hands-on experience in social media marketing, helping to plan and schedule posts for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok. They assist with live content posting during weekend events, which brings a dynamic and real-time marketing element to the internship. On the studio days, interns engage in preparing for upcoming events by managing inventory, organizing pre-packaged cotton candy containers, and helping fulfill online and retail orders. There is also involvement in marketing photoshoots and planning sessions to help build and maintain the company’s brand image.

The internship is stipend-based, with payments made weekly upon completion of work, and interns retain 100% of any tips earned during weekend events. This provides an additional incentive for interns, especially those passionate about customer service and event participation. The schedule demands flexibility with on-site studio time and weekend event work, making it ideal for go-getters who thrive in fast-paced and entrepreneurial environments.

C L E Cotton Candy offers interns the opportunity to learn how to run a business from start to finish - from social media strategy development and brand promotion to event logistics and retail support. This experiential learning internship fosters creativity, communication skills, and business acumen while contributing meaningfully to a growing, community-oriented business. By joining this internship, individuals gain valuable real-world experience that prepares them for careers in entrepreneurship, marketing, event management, retail, and communications fields, all while enjoying the excitement of a sweet business venture.
