This role involves overseeing corporate events such as internal meetings, client-facing activations, and strategic conferences that typically fall into Tier 1 and Tier 2 categories. The manager is responsible for leading the entire event lifecycle from concept to execution, which includes developing detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure flawless event delivery.
This position requires strong collaboration across departments, working closely with marketing, sales, communications, and executive stakeholders to define clear event objectives and success metrics. As the primary point of contact for assigned events, the Trade Show & Event Manager manages logistics, vendor relationships, communications, and stakeholder expectations to ensure each event reflects the Wolters Kluwer brand integrity, meets compliance standards, and delivers a high-quality experience for attendees. In addition, the manager may oversee direct reports, fostering a positive team environment and championing initiatives that drive operational efficiency, innovation, and service excellence.
The role demands a seasoned professional with extensive event management experience, including a minimum of eight years in the field, particularly in managing portfolios of similar events. The ideal candidate possesses excellent project management abilities and a strategic mindset to translate business goals into actionable event strategies. Effective communication and collaboration skills are paramount for this role, alongside the ability to problem solve and adapt in fast-paced environments. The manager must also demonstrate a strong customer focus and meticulous attention to detail to ensure every event's quality and success.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $71,300 to $124,500 USD, with eligibility for bonuses based on the primary location of the role. The position includes approximately 50% travel, primarily within the US and EMEA regions, with additional global travel as needed.
