Job Description

We are currently seeking a creative and detail-oriented Event Planning Manager to join our dedicated team. This key role is centered around coordinating all facets of event planning and execution, serving as an essential link between clients and hotel operations. The Event Planning Manager will oversee everything from initial event conception and negotiation to final execution, ensuring every detail aligns with guest expectations and the high standards of the Marriott brand. Responsibilities include managing meeting and banquet functions, serving group and catering customers, and proactively addressing any challenges during events. Ideal candidates are strong communicators and problem solvers with a background in hotel sales and food and beverage management, comfortable leading in a fast-paced and often high-pressure environment. Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience
  • at least 1 year in food and beverage operations
  • proficiency in business communication
  • knowledge of contract negotiation
  • computer literacy including Microsoft Office
  • professional demeanor
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage time efficiently
  • must be able to work under pressure
  • experience with hospitality CRM software

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree or 2+ years of hotel sales experience
  • 1 year of food and beverage experience
  • strong understanding of contract negotiation and interpretation
  • developed written and verbal business communication skills
  • proficient in Microsoft Office
  • present a professional appearance and confidence
  • effective communication skills with public and team members
  • strong time management and ability to work under pressure
  • experience with major hospitality sales CRM systems

Job Duties

  • coordinate all aspects of event planning from start to finish
  • act as liaison between customer and hotel sales staff
  • provide direction and supervision during execution of events
  • resolve problems and suggest alternatives during events
  • serve group and catering customers proactively
  • manage logistics including room blocks, food and beverage, and billing
  • ensure exceptional guest satisfaction throughout events
