Job Description
Hyatt is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for creating experiences that enable travelers to connect, feel at home, and enjoy sustainable journeys. With a rich legacy of service and innovation, Hyatt promotes a culture of belonging where every employee’s individuality is celebrated and every role is integral to the shared mission of making hospitality a meaningful career. At the heart of Hyatt's philosophy is the belief that hospitality transcends the simple act of providing accommodation; it is about crafting memorable journeys and fostering genuine human connections across its diverse network of hotels and resorts worldwide.
One of Hyatt’s standout properties is its Downtown Miami hotel located in one of the city’s most vibrant and trendy neighborhoods—Brickell. This iconic hotel features striking white towers overlooking the scenic Miami River, offering guests both stunning views and prime access to key local attractions. Guests can explore the nearby Miami Riverwalk and Bayfront Park or easily travel to the Port of Miami and the recently renamed Kaseya Center, offering world-class entertainment. For shopping enthusiasts, the hotel’s proximity to Brickell City Centre presents an excellent opportunity to immerse in premier retail experiences. Additionally, the cultural richness of Little Havana and educational opportunities like the Frost Museum of Science further enhance the diverse activities guests can enjoy during their stay.
The role of Event Planning Manager at this Downtown Miami Hyatt hotel is essential to the seamless delivery of exceptional event experiences. This position centers primarily on servicing and upselling sales bookings while serving as the crucial liaison between meeting planners and the hotel’s operational teams. The Event Planning Manager oversees the administration of sales agreements, ensuring all details of meetings and food and beverage events are meticulously coordinated and documented. This includes managing audiovisual needs, room blocks, billing instructions, and finalizing event review processes. A collaborative relationship with the Event Services Team is vital for flawless event execution, guaranteeing that every function meets Hyatt’s high standards of quality and professionalism.
This is a dynamic and client-focused role ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and demonstrate a passion for exceeding customer expectations. Successful candidates will benefit from a supportive work culture that values both personal and professional growth while contributing to the storied reputation of the Hyatt brand. Employment is full-time, offering excellent career development pathways in hospitality event management, competitive salary structures, and a comprehensive suite of benefits designed to support employee well-being and work-life balance.
Joining Hyatt means becoming part of a global community that values diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity. The company encourages all qualified candidates to apply regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, or veteran status. Hyatt fosters an environment where employees can flourish professionally while making meaningful impacts on the lives of guests and communities they serve.
