The Event Planning Manager role at Hyatt Regency Minneapolis plays a pivotal part in delivering outstanding event experiences. This position requires a high level of coordination and communication as it serves as the primary liaison between clients and various hotel departments. The primary responsibility of this role is to plan, coordinate, and execute exceptional events that surpass client expectations and contribute to memorable guest experiences. From initial consultations with clients to post-event follow-up, the Event Planning Manager ensures seamless event logistics management including the development of detailed event orders, room layouts, menus, and guestroom pick-ups. This role works closely with sales, culinary, banquets, audiovisual, and operations teams to provide flawless event execution.
The position demands strong organizational skills and the ability to manage client expectations by proactively resolving issues and responding efficiently to client requests. Maintaining accurate event details, billing, and contract compliance are essential components of the job. Building and nurturing strong client relationships is critical to encourage repeat engagements and facilitate referrals.
