The Hotel Event Planning Manager will have the pivotal responsibility of orchestrating the planning, coordination, and successful execution of a variety of events, working closely with high-profile clients. This position is integral in ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among multiple departments, such as sales, catering, banquet, culinary, and front office staff, to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
The successful candidate will be involved in comprehensive project management, including client consultations to understand their event objectives and preferences, planning all event logistics such as room layout, catering, audiovisual requirements, and decorative elements. They will conduct site visits and pre-event meetings to finalize event details, ensuring expectations and standards are thoroughly met. The role also includes budgeting and contract management duties, requiring oversight of event budgets, preparation of contracts and proposals, and diligent monitoring of billing to maintain financial accuracy.
On event days, the Hotel Event Planning Manager acts as the primary client liaison, managing all aspects of event execution, troubleshooting challenges, and maintaining a professional and smooth operation throughout the event lifecycle. Post-event responsibilities include collecting client feedback to assess event success and drive continuous improvement, fostering long-term client relationships for repeat business, and contributing to sales efforts by identifying upselling opportunities and supporting new business acquisition through networking.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $58,000 to $68,000 per year and comprehensive benefits starting from day one, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additionally, the hotel provides financial advantages such as a 401(k) plan with company matching, next day pay options, and flexible spending accounts.
