The role of Event Planning Manager at Hyatt Regency St. Louis is a vital position focused on ensuring seamless event coordination between the hotel staff and clients. This role primarily services Sales and Social/Wedding bookings, acting as the key liaison between meeting planners and various departments within the hotel to facilitate efficient and successful events. The Event Planning Manager is responsible for managing several critical logistical elements, including administering sales agreements, detailing food, beverage, and audio/visual requirements, managing room blocks and pickup, billing instructions, and conducting final event reviews to guarantee client satisfaction and flawless execution. Serving as the on-site contact during events, this professional manages all event activities, ensuring that all aspects are executed smoothly and meet high-quality standards.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in hotel event sales or event planning
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel event sales/event planning or comparable experience preferred
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
  • Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Prefer two years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program
