This hospitality giant operates across various countries, offering a broad range of accommodations, dining options, and event services designed to meet the diverse needs of both leisure and business travelers. Hyatt's philosophy centers on delivering 'The Hyatt Touch,' a unique approach that blends personalized service with a supportive work environment encouraging career growth and job satisfaction.

The Event Planning Manager role at Hyatt is a critical position that serves as the primary liaison between the Group Sales team and hotel staff to ensure flawless execution of events booked by groups. This position involves managing all aspects of event servicing from the initial file turnover stage through the post-event phase, focusing on delivering an outstanding customer experience. Responsibilities include administering the sales agreement with attention to detail on food, beverage, and audiovisual requirements; managing room blocks and pick-up rates; overseeing billing instructions; and performing thorough final reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to agreements.

In addition to contractual oversight, the Event Planning Manager is responsible for accurate forecasting related to sleeping room pick-up and event revenue, providing reliable data to help inform hotel operations and sales strategies. The role also involves recommending program enhancements by suggesting additional products or services from the hotel and external vendors to elevate the overall event experience. Problem-solving and adaptability are key, as the manager is expected to address challenges and suggest alternatives as needed to maintain client satisfaction.

Embodied by a customer-centric mindset, the Event Planning Manager acts as the on-site contact for groups during events, ensuring smooth execution and seamless coordination between clients and hotel departments. The position offers a competitive salary range between $66,100 and $85,000 and includes an impressive benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional growth of Hyatt associates. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance after only 30 days, free room nights, discounted rates for friends and family, affordable food and beverage options during hotel stays, a 401(k) matching retirement plan up to 4%, paid time off including new child leave, and opportunities for tuition reimbursement and training programs. Employees also enjoy complimentary meals, access to an employee stock purchase plan, and discounts at various retailers, making this opportunity attractive for candidates ready to advance their careers in event planning within a reputable hospitality company.

Working at Hyatt means joining a vibrant environment that demands exceptional performance but also rewards dedication and hard work. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced settings and exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication. If you are ready to embrace a challenging yet rewarding career journey, Hyatt invites you to experience 'The Hyatt Touch' and contribute to creating unforgettable events and guest experiences.
