Job Description

StoneX Group is a global financial services company with over 5,400 employees and a client base exceeding 80,000 institutional, commercial, and payments clients. Operating from more than 80 offices across six continents, StoneX Group is listed on Nasdaq and ranks among the Fortune 100 companies. This distinguished organization is dedicated to connecting clients to global markets by focusing on innovation, human connection, and delivering world-class products and services to a wide array of investors. It caters to retail clients, institutional investors, and commercial entities, offering a broad spectrum of business segments that provide significant potential for career growth and progression.

Within StoneX Group, the Corporate business segment covers essential business-critical activities that ensure the organization functions efficiently. This segment includes strategic marketing, financial management, human resources, and operational oversight, offering professionals in this space numerous opportunities to optimize business processes and implement impactful policies. The company's commitment to employee growth, innovative thinking, and delivering excellence in service distinguishes it as a sought-after employer in the financial services industry.

The role of Event Planner, Global Events, holds significant importance in StoneX Group's branding and marketing strategy. Reporting directly to the Head of Global Events, the Event Planner plays a pivotal role in owning and managing company-hosted and internal events. These events are crucial for reinforcing StoneX Group's market presence and client engagement, predominantly occurring across North and South America, with occasional international shows. Despite delegating certain responsibilities to supplier partners, the Event Planner must ensure that every event detail is meticulously executed from conception to completion, demonstrating accountability and attention to detail.

This position requires not only superior organizational and project management skills but also collaborative abilities to liaise with venues, destination management companies (DMCs), and other suppliers, while closely working with internal staff to align event goals with company objectives. The Event Planner must also partner with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and custom registration platforms aimed at maximizing company exposure and generating sales leads. Additionally, overseeing vendor payments, reviewing event invitations, and supporting fellow Global Events team members are part of the routine responsibilities.

This onsite role is based in West Des Moines, Iowa, and is suitable for those seeking an entry-level opportunity in event management within the financial services industry. StoneX Group values candidates who demonstrate excellent project management, a robust attention to detail, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively. The company offers competitive compensation aligned with regional standards for entry-level roles, and the position involves an estimated 35 percent travel to event sites when necessary. Overall, this role presents a dynamic work environment within a prestigious global firm, ideal for individuals eager to build a career in events management while engaging with a leading financial services organization.
