This full-time, on-site position is based in Manhattan, New York, and is ideal for an experienced Event Planner who is enthusiastic, proactive, and highly organized. At save the date, the Event Planner will play a key role in managing the entire event lifecycle from venue sourcing and vendor coordination to budget management and client communication. The role requires a confident individual who can conduct outreach and sales efforts to increase business development opportunities. Reporting to Senior Planners and the Company Founder, the Event Planner supports multiple aspects of the company’s operations including event planning, venue sourcing, administrative duties, billing, social media, and executive calendar management. This multifaceted opportunity allows the planner to "own" their projects while also collaborating as a versatile team player capable of adapting quickly to shifting priorities. The role offers rich exposure to various facets of event management and organizational support, combining creativity, negotiation, and administrative rigor to deliver outstanding client experiences in New York City’s competitive event market.

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of event planning experience specifically in New York City
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with budgeting and financial management
- Demonstrated skills in client outreach and sales for event services
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields
- Availability for flexible working hours including evenings and weekends
- Readiness to travel for event requirements
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in event planning in New York City
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in event planning and management
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills
- Confident in sales strategies related to event services including client outreach
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in event management software and productivity tools is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel for events as needed
Job Duties
- Assist Event Managers/Founder with venue searches, site visits, compiling venue information and pricing
- Research new venues and gather relevant information including capacities, food and beverage offerings
- Assist with all event duties and tasks for clients during event planning and execution
- Answer incoming calls and emails about events and gather detailed information
- Work day or night of events, including occasional weekends, assisting event managers at venues
- Perform administrative tasks related to bank deposits, receivables and payables, including editing and re-issuing invoices through QuickBooks
- Manage and update internal customer retention and sales management system including contacts and master event calendar
- Provide general support to the team including paperwork, IT and supplies
- Organize financial files and documents
- Assist with social media channels
- Manage website and event collateral
- Perform basic office and administrative tasks for the CEO
