Job Description
Castle Group is a distinguished community-oriented organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for its residents through exceptional property management and vibrant community engagement. Known for its commitment to service excellence and creating thriving environments, Castle Group operates various residential communities, including those tailored for active adults aged 55 and older. The company prides itself on fostering welcoming, inclusive atmospheres where residents can enjoy a rich array of social, recreational, and cultural activities. With a clear focus on delivering Castle Royal Service—a hallmark of their customer experience—the organization emphasizes outstanding personal interaction, community pride, and dynamic programming that reflects the diverse interests of its members.
The Lifestyle Director role at Castle Group is a pivotal position within their 55-plus community, serving as the creative force and social connector who energizes and unites the neighborhood. This full-time role, which reports directly to the Property Manager, is ideal for a dynamic individual passionate about event planning and community engagement. The Lifestyle Director is entrusted with the important responsibility of designing, promoting, and executing a comprehensive calendar of social events and programs that resonate with residents of all backgrounds and preferences, from casual hobbyists to social enthusiasts. Beyond just planning events, this role is charged with nurturing a sense of belonging and pride among community members by consistently delivering innovative and memorable experiences.
Working closely with various stakeholders including the Property Manager, Social Committee, Board liaisons, restaurant and fitness staff, and other community groups, the Lifestyle Director acts as an essential bridge linking resident interests with strategic programming. Responsibilities encompass an end-to-end event management cycle which includes budgeting, contracting, marketing, and logistics. The Director also integrates modern tools and technology, like Microsoft Office Suite and Canva, to create promotional materials and streamline operations, demonstrating a willingness to adopt emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence for enhanced efficiency.
In addition to event planning prowess, the Lifestyle Director must exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills, embodying warmth and approachability to foster strong relationships within this diverse and active community. The role demands excellent judgment, professionalism, and the ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining confidentiality and integrity. Physical requirements include mobility around the community property, occasional outdoor activity participation, and the flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when necessary to support events.
Castle Group is committed to equal employment opportunity, ensuring a workplace free from discrimination and harassment, evaluated solely on qualifications, merit, and business needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community life, blending creativity, operational skill, and compassionate leadership in a vibrant, supportive environment. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience in hospitality or event planning will find this position rewarding and aligned with their professional talents. The role also includes occasional travel for off-site training, underscoring the company’s investment in ongoing professional development and community excellence.
