Encore is a leading global event technology company specializing in providing comprehensive audiovisual and event production solutions to a wide variety of clients across the hospitality and entertainment industries. Renowned for its exceptional service standards and technical expertise, Encore delivers world-class event experiences through its dedicated teams and cutting-edge technology. Operating primarily within hotel and convention center environments, as well as warehouse settings, Encore focuses on the seamless integration of audiovisual equipment and technical support to elevate the quality of events and ensure complete customer satisfaction. The company emphasizes a culture of inclusivity and belonging, valuing the unique contributions of each team member and fostering professional growth within a diverse, welcoming workplace.
The Operations Supervisor role at Encore is a dynamic leadership position responsible for overseeing daily floor operations, primarily focusing on customer service excellence, staff leadership, and technical team development. Reporting to senior leadership such as the Director of Event Technology (DET), Director of Operations (DOO), or Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor acts as the pivotal point for operational efficiency and customer satisfaction on-site. This role requires managing the workflow of technical staff, ensuring equipment is set up, maintained, and operated flawlessly throughout events, and maintaining coordination with venue management to achieve operational excellence.
In addition to hands-on supervision, the Operations Supervisor supports various administrative tasks to enhance onsite operations and contribute to the team’s career development. The supervisor plays a critical role in training and mentoring new technicians, instilling Encore’s service standards and operational protocols while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment aligned with company values. Customer interaction is a key element of the position, as the supervisor engages directly with clients during events to ensure their needs are met, troubleshoot issues promptly, and uphold strong relationships.
This position demands a strong technical acumen in audiovisual equipment, exceptional problem-solving skills, and proven experience in leading teams within the hospitality or events technology sectors. The Operations Supervisor must be physically capable of managing demanding environments, including setting up and breaking down equipment, and working irregular hours including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts. The compensation for this role ranges from $18.93 to $24.60 per hour, dependent upon factors such as location, experience, and skills, with additional opportunities for overtime, bonuses, or incentives. Encore also offers a robust benefits package designed to support the wellbeing of employees and their families, reinforcing its commitment to creating a supportive and engaging workplace.
