Job Description

Encore is a global leader in event technology and production, renowned for delivering exceptional audio-visual and event solutions in a variety of settings including hotels, convention centers, concert venues, and corporate events. With a comprehensive portfolio of services and a commitment to innovation and quality, Encore continues to set industry standards by enhancing event experiences through state-of-the-art technology and expert service. The company emphasizes a strong culture of operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and employee development, making it one of the premier employers in the hospitality and event technology sectors.

The Operations Supervisor role at Encore is a pivotal position that directly influences the success of event operations through leadership of the technical team and management of floor activities. This role is primarily responsible for overseeing operations with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring operational efficiencies, and fostering staff development. Reporting to the Director of Events Technology (DET), Director of Operations (DOO), or Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor serves as a key liaison between the management and the technical crew, coordinating communications and logistics during events.

The supervisor's duties encompass organizing daily floor activities, managing technician workflows, scheduling labor in collaboration with venue management and workforce teams, and ensuring that flow sheets and operational documentation are meticulously maintained. The position demands a strong commitment to Encore’s Service Standards, requiring the supervisor to maintain positive client relationships, monitor event execution closely, and respond proactively to client needs on site. Training and mentoring technicians to uphold operational and service excellence are also essential functions of this role.

In addition to operational and service responsibilities, the Operations Supervisor oversees the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment, ensuring both safety and security of all technical assets. Preventive maintenance and inventory management form part of the routine to guarantee equipment reliability and presentation. The role requires knowledge of technical theory, effective problem-solving skills, and experience in managing team workflow and staff members.

Working conditions for the role include exposure to both indoor and moderately outdoor environments, with varying noise levels and physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and climbing on occasion. The position may require irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts, reflecting the dynamic nature of event operations.

Overall, this role offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to grow professionally within a respected global company, contributing to world-class event experiences and fostering a collaborative team environment underpinned by Encore’s core values and competency frameworks.
