Job Description

Encore is a leading global event technology company specializing in providing high-quality audiovisual and event production services. With a presence across multiple venues including hotels, convention centers, and warehouses, Encore focuses on delivering seamless event experiences through innovative technology and exceptional customer service. Their teams are equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment ensuring every event runs smoothly and meets client expectations. Encore is dedicated to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and fostering a positive, inclusive work culture where employees are valued and empowered to grow in their careers.

The Operations Supervisor role at Encore is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing floor operations with a primary focus on customer service, staff leadership, and technical team management. This position acts as a bridge between the technical team and venue management, ensuring operational efficiencies and delivering superior customer satisfaction throughout an event lifecycle. Reporting directly to various leadership positions such as the Director of Event Technology (DET), Director of Operations (DOO), or Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor plays a key role in organizing daily floor activities including the timely setup, refresh, and removal of equipment. This role requires coordination of team workflow, attending venue meetings, updating operational flow sheets, and maintaining effective communications for event management.

Beyond operational management, the Operations Supervisor demonstrates leadership through staff development including training and mentoring new hires, enforcing Encore’s service standards, and maintaining a positive work environment aligned with company values. This role requires hands-on involvement in event technology, including accurate setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment as well as troubleshooting technical issues to resolve problems quickly. Ensuring equipment security and conducting preventative maintenance are also critical responsibilities.

The position comes with an hourly pay range of $20.82 to $27.07, with final compensation based on qualifications, location, relevant experience, and skill set. Additional compensation such as overtime, bonuses, or incentives may be offered depending on the position. The role includes irregular hours, on-call status, occasional travel between hotel or event venues, and adherence to company appearance standards. Encore promotes a supportive workplace culture that values diversity, inclusivity, and belonging. The Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining Encore’s reputation for delivering world-class event services through effective team leadership, technical expertise, and superior customer interaction.
