Job Description

Encore is a global leader in event technology and production services, specializing in delivering exceptional audiovisual solutions and event experiences. With a robust presence in the hospitality and entertainment industry, Encore provides comprehensive support to a wide variety of venues including hotels, convention centers, and other event spaces. Known for its commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction, the company emphasizes a culture centered around inclusivity, employee development, and high service standards. Encore offers competitive compensation packages with an hourly pay range for this position from $23.00 to $27.07, which varies based on factors such as location, travel requirements, experience, and skill set. Additional compensation may include overtime, bonuses, and incentives.

The role of Operations Supervisor at Encore is a critical position that leads and manages floor operations with a strong focus on customer service, staff leadership, and technical team management. Reporting to department executives such as the Director of Event Technology (DET), Director of Operations (DOO), or Operations Manager, this role ensures the smooth execution of daily activities by organizing workflows, overseeing equipment setup, and facilitating communication among the technical team. The Operations Supervisor not only manages operational efficiencies and customer interactions but also plays a vital part in training and mentoring new technicians, reinforcing Encore’s service standards and operational policies.

This position is responsible for maintaining equipment integrity by overseeing setup, operation, troubleshooting, and breakdown of intermediate audiovisual systems. The supervisor ensures that all equipment is secure, well-maintained, and compliant with safety and security protocols. A key element of the role includes coordinating event logistics to guarantee customer satisfaction, including attending venue meetings and monitoring event execution on-site. The Operations Supervisor also participates in administrative duties to support onsite operations and fosters a positive working environment through leadership that exemplifies company values.

The work environment for this role is dynamic and includes hotel or convention center locations with varying noise levels and physical demands such as lifting, climbing, bending, and extensive standing or walking. The job requires flexibility to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts. Physical demands include the handling of equipment weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally heavier loads, requiring physical stamina and safety awareness.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree (preferred), 3-5 years of customer service or hospitality experience, and solid expertise in audiovisual technology. Certifications and training related to the position are required within 60 days for external hires and must be continually met by internal applicants. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate advanced problem-solving capabilities, leadership skills in managing teams, and an ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff. A valid driver’s license may be required for roles involving company vehicle operation.

Encore is dedicated to providing the best benefits options and fostering an inclusive employer brand where every team member feels valued and empowered. Additional information on benefits and organizational competencies is readily available through company resources.
