Job Description

Encore is a leading global provider of event technology, specializing in delivering high-quality audiovisual services and solutions for a wide range of clients including hotels, convention centers, and corporate venues. As a trusted partner in the events industry, Encore focuses on excellence in customer service, operational efficiency, and technological innovation to ensure each event's success. The company supports a culture of inclusivity and belonging, emphasizing the celebration of unique individual strengths and professional growth within a supportive work environment. Employees at Encore enjoy competitive compensation and a robust benefits package, fostering both personal and career development.

The Operations Supervisor role at Encore is a pivotal leadership position that involves overseeing floor operations with an emphasis on exceptional customer service, team leadership, and efficient operational practices. This position requires direct management of the technical team to guarantee smooth event execution and client satisfaction. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for organizing daily floor activities, coordinating equipment setup, and ensuring adherence to company standards and safety protocols. Additionally, this role may involve administrative duties that support onsite operations and offer opportunities for career advancement. Reporting directly to higher management such as the DET, Director of Operations, or Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor acts as the crucial link between operational staff and venue management.

Key responsibilities include managing the workflow of technicians, updating operational documentation like flowsheets, maintaining effective communication channels regarding event management, and representing the team in venue meetings. The Supervisor also excels in customer engagement by providing exemplary service, maintaining positive client relationships, and proactively addressing issues on event days. This role plays a significant part in training and developing staff members, mentoring new hires, and fostering a positive work environment aligned with Encore's values. Technically, the role demands hands-on involvement with audiovisual equipment setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and ensuring the security and upkeep of equipment. Physical demands require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the role often includes working irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, across multiple hotel or warehouse locations.

This is an hourly position with a pay range of $18.93 to $24.60 per hour, determined by factors such as experience, skills, and location. Employees may also qualify for additional compensation like overtime, bonuses, or incentives. Encore emphasizes continuous learning and certification, requiring external candidates to complete all necessary training within 60 days and internal candidates to meet ongoing certification standards. The work environment varies from hotel and convention center venues to warehouse settings, with exposure to varied noise levels, weather conditions, and the use of advanced event technology. Overall, the Operations Supervisor role is integral to delivering world-class service and operational excellence in the dynamic and fast-paced event technology industry.
