Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years of banquet, restaurant, or hotel event experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Commitment to uphold hotel policies and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of banquet, restaurant, or hotel event operations experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of banquet service standards and event execution
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet functions, meetings, weddings, and special events
  • Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure all event details are executed accurately
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings with banquet staff to communicate event timelines, service expectations, VIP details, and operational needs
  • Ensure banquet rooms and event spaces are set according to hotel standards and client specifications
  • Monitor service throughout events to ensure high-quality guest experience and timely execution
  • Serve as the main point of contact for banquet staff during events and communicate effectively with the kitchen, culinary, stewarding, audio visual, and hotel leadership teams
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and service recovery opportunities
  • Supervise banquet servers, bartenders, housepersons, and support staff during events
  • Assist with training, coaching, and development of banquet team members
  • Support scheduling, staffing, and labor management to ensure operational efficiency
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
  • Ensure team members comply with hotel policies, grooming standards, attendance expectations, and safety procedures
