The job demands a thorough understanding and appropriate application of AKC rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure events meet organizational standards and customer expectations.\n\nBeyond handling customer inquiries and managing event processing, the Event Operations Representative acts as a key liaison between AKC and various stakeholders, including exhibitors, event chairpersons, show secretaries, superintendents, clubs, judges, and multiple levels of AKC management. This role requires a strong multitasking ability to work with digital and physical documentation, communicate effectively through email and telephone, and thoroughly document interactions. The representative is often seen as an account manager for clusters of events or clubs, providing consistent support and problem-solving to prevent and resolve verification or validation issues during event processing.\n\nThe position also includes responsibilities such as interpreting and enforcing AKC rules for customers, assisting with navigating the AKC website, scanning and indexing official documents, and periodically reviewing event reports to ensure timely follow-up and compliance. Salary for this role ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on the candidate's skill set, experience, and job-related knowledge. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Provide knowledgeable and proactive customer service for Conformation and Obedience events
  • Analyze and process information related to event applications and judges' panels
  • Communicate effectively with customers, including exhibitors, event chairpersons, show secretaries, superintendents, clubs, judges, and AKC management
  • Assist customers in interpreting and enforcing AKC rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Digitally scan and index event and other relevant documentation
  • Serve as the primary AKC point of contact for club event processing and act as account manager for clubs or event clusters
  • Review processing reports periodically to identify events requiring attention
