Job Description

Encore is a renowned entertainment and event technology company specializing in delivering world-class experiences at venues across the globe. Known for its commitment to excellence and cutting-edge audio-visual solutions, Encore serves a diverse range of clients including top-tier hotels, convention centers, and large-scale event spaces. The company is dedicated to fostering a culture that celebrates diversity, inclusivity, and innovation, ensuring that all team members are supported and empowered to excel in their roles. With a strong emphasis on employee development and customer satisfaction, Encore maintains its position as a leader in the event technology industry by consistently exceeding client expectations and delivering seamless service experiences.

The role of the Floor Operations Manager at Encore is critical to maintaining service excellence within venues generating over three million dollars in revenue. This position reports directly to the Operations Director or Director of Event Technology and focuses on managing the day-to-day floor operations with an emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service, staff leadership, and operational efficiency. The Floor Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing technicians’ workflow to ensure timely delivery and proper functioning of equipment and services as per client and venue standards. This role involves providing direct supervision, including scheduling and timekeeping, as well as managing inventory control to balance cost efficiency with equipment safety and quality.

Beyond operational oversight, the Floor Operations Manager acts as a key liaison between clients and internal teams by ensuring billing accuracy and proactively addressing any potential challenges. Active participation in pre-event meetings and collaboration with sales and event management teams is essential for understanding and meeting client requirements. A strong focus on customer service includes mentoring staff to enhance onsite service quality, upselling opportunities, and maintaining professional conduct aligned with company standards. Leadership responsibilities extend to hiring, training, and developing a talented team, promoting a positive work environment centered on Encore’s core values, and managing human resource-related functions such as performance management and salary administration.

This role demands proficiency with computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and internet tools, to maintain efficient communication and operational tracking. Given the physical nature of the position, candidates must be able to meet specific physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting, and operating specialized audio-visual equipment. The working environment varies from quiet to noisy conditions in hotel and convention center settings, with exposure to outdoor elements and heights via lifts and ladders. The Floor Operations Manager must be adaptable to irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties, while upholding polished professional standards.

Compensation for this role ranges from $70,304 to $74,938 annually, influenced by factors such as location, relevant experience, and individual skills. Additionally, eligible candidates may receive overtime pay, bonuses, or other incentives. Encore also offers comprehensive benefits designed to support employees and their families, reinforcing the company’s dedication to a supportive, inclusive workplace. This career opportunity invites proactive leaders who are passionate about delivering world-class service and fostering cohesive, efficient teams within dynamic event environments.
