Job Description
Encore is a leading company specializing in high-quality audio visual services within the hospitality and event management industries. Operating primarily in hotel and convention center environments, Encore is renowned for delivering exceptional event technology solutions that enhance client experiences through cutting-edge equipment, expert technical support, and dedicated staff. With operations spanning multiple locations, especially those generating revenues exceeding three million dollars, Encore emphasizes a culture of excellence, innovation, and customer service. The company places high importance on workforce development, inventory management, and operational efficiency to maintain its standing as an industry leader while fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace for its employees.
The role of Operations Manager at Encore is a critical leadership position responsible for managing floor operations to achieve the highest standards of service excellence. Reporting directly to an Operations Director or Director of Event Technology, this position is instrumental in achieving organizational goals through effective management of staff, equipment, and costs. The Operations Manager oversees daily activities of technical teams ensuring that event equipment and services meet client and hotel specifications and are delivered on schedule. This involves direct supervision of personnel, including scheduling and attendance management, alongside maintaining accurate billing and equipment documentation.
In addition to operational duties, the role focuses heavily on customer service excellence by maintaining strong relationships with clients, internal teams, vendors, and partnering hotel properties. The Operations Manager is expected to actively engage guests on-site to confirm satisfaction and functionality of equipment, which boosts client retention and promotes the company’s reputation. A polished professional demeanor and strict adherence to company appearance and conduct standards are essential aspects of the position.
The position also requires a strong emphasis on people development and training. The Operations Manager is tasked with hiring, leading, and motivating a skilled team of technicians and support staff, fostering a positive work environment rooted in Encore's core values. Professional development is prioritized through encouraging continuous training, managing performance, and facilitating career growth opportunities. Proficiency in company software systems and ensuring team competency is paramount.
Working in a hotel or convention center setting, this role requires adaptability to varying conditions including exposure to different noise levels, outdoor elements, and physical demands such as sitting, standing, lifting, and climbing. The Operations Manager must be prepared for irregular working hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties. With a salary range of $44,342 to $57,644 depending on experience and location, Encore provides competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that supports the wellbeing of employees and their families. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals in audio visual operations and hospitality who are seeking to advance their careers in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
