Job Description
THE·TEAM operates at the epicenter of sports, music, and entertainment, delivering world-class services in branding, signage, custom fabrication, live event production, and experiential operations on a global scale. The company collaborates with some of the world's most iconic properties and brands, elevating live events to become unforgettable experiences. With a headquarters located in Los Angeles, THE·TEAM extends its presence across 28 countries and more than 70 cities, including major hubs such as New York, London, Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Madrid, Mexico City, Toronto, Paris, and Sydney. This extensive global footprint enables THE·TEAM to manage projects and execute events of various sizes and complexities, delivering consistent quality and innovation across all its operations.
THE·TEAM is actively seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Event Operations Manager to join its dynamic and passionate team of event professionals. This role focuses primarily on planning, managing, and executing live events, brand activations, and fan engagement experiences within the sports and entertainment sectors. The position requires working across multiple venues, tours, and large-scale events to deliver impactful, immersive experiences that resonate deeply with fans, partners, and clients alike. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, bringing fresh ideas, diverse perspectives, and a collaborative spirit to enhance the quality of experiences offered by THE·TEAM.
The Event Operations Manager will have substantial responsibility to oversee pre-event planning, including liaising with clients, vendors, and internal departments to develop detailed timelines, budgets, and operational plans that align with client objectives. They will manage supplier relationships—from sourcing and negotiating with vendors to supervising logistical and operational aspects of event delivery. Additionally, the role involves conducting venue evaluations, securing necessary permits, and ensuring health and safety compliance for all events.
During events, the manager will act as the primary client contact on-site, coordinate and direct in-person teams including vendors and volunteers, and manage event setup, execution, and teardown effectively. Exceptional problem-solving skills are essential to address any challenges that arise promptly. This role requires travel up to 50 percent of the time, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of live event production.
Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 2-4 years in event production or related fields, and familiarity with sports, entertainment, and live event environments. Experience with event permitting, budget management, and vendor negotiations is highly valued. Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office or Google Suite is expected, and the ability to use power tools and operate forklifts (training provided) is a plus. Physical fitness to lift at least 50 pounds and work in varied outdoor weather conditions is required. Passion for live events, teamwork, and the drive to contribute creatively within a cutting-edge company distinguished by its global reach and commitment to excellence are significant attributes for success in this role.
