Job Description

Arc Network is a dynamic and innovative company specializing in organizing and managing high-profile conferences, tradeshows, and awards programs. Known for its commitment to excellence and operational perfection, Arc Network has established itself as a leader in the events industry. The company offers a fully remote work environment, blending flexibility with a high level of professionalism, and it supports its team members with robust resources to ensure successful event execution across various major US cities.

The role of Event Operations Manager at Arc Network is critical for the seamless orchestration of multiple live events, encompassing everything from initial venue sourcing to post-event financial reconciliation. This position demands a highly organized and detail-oriented professional capable of managing complex logistics and vendor relationships with precision and a calm demeanor. As the operational lead or an essential member of the logistics team during events, the manager ensures flawless execution from setup through teardown, providing impressive client service both behind the scenes and onsite. This role requires approximately 20-25% travel to event locations, and it offers an annual compensation range of $65,000 to $80,000, reflecting the experience and qualifications of the candidate.

In this multifaceted role, the Event Operations Manager assumes comprehensive responsibility for coordinating all operational aspects that make Arc Network's events stand out. Key duties include venue sourcing and contract negotiation, where the manager identifies and secures appropriate venues, negotiates terms and conditions, manages food and beverage plans, and oversees audiovisual arrangements. The role also entails managing room blocks, coordinating transportation logistics such as VIP airport transfers and hotel shuttles, and creating and executing special events within the larger program. A strong emphasis is placed on managing sponsor deliverables, acting as the main contact point for clients before, during, and after events to ensure client satisfaction and adherence to expectations.

Financial stewardship is a significant component of the role, requiring accurate budgeting, tracking operational expenses, prompt invoice processing, and meticulous post-event reconciliation. The role demands excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and internal coordination, requiring the manager to write, proofread, and communicate efficiently at all times. Flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills are prized, as the dynamic nature of event management often requires quick thinking and proactive solutions.

Given the variety of events managed by Arc Network, the Event Operations Manager will frequently be involved in developing event plans and timelines, coordinating internal and external resources including vendors and suppliers, and maintaining clear communication channels. The position demands strong multitasking capabilities and the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure. Candidates who are resourceful, highly detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment will find this role rewarding and challenging. The company values professionalism, ambition, and a calm, proactive approach to meeting the demands of high-scale event management.
