The company operates within the hospitality and event technology sector, collaborating closely with hotels, resorts, and convention centers to enhance the event experience through cutting-edge audio-visual systems and expert technical support.
This position is responsible for supporting the Director of Event Technology in managing all audio-visual operations at high-revenue locations generating more than three million dollars in revenue. Serving as a vital link between the Operations and Sales teams, the role demands overseeing daily equipment setups and ensuring that all audio-visual services meet the standards and expectations of the clients and the organization. The candidate will play a critical role in maintaining profitability by efficiently controlling costs and optimizing resources while achieving organizational goals. This leadership position requires mentoring and supervising operational staff, coordinating with hotel staff and vendors, managing inventory, and advancing team skills through focused training programs. The role also involves handling complex logistical and operational challenges to ensure flawless execution of events, maintaining equipment quality and safety, and staying current with emerging industry technologies.
The ideal candidate should have at least three years of audio-visual experience and preferably a year or more of supervisory experience in a live event environment. A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. Effective leadership qualities, customer service excellence, and technical proficiency in audio-visual equipment and software are essential. The role requires the ability to manage billing accuracy, foster positive working relationships across multiple stakeholders, and contribute to the ongoing development of a skilled, motivated technical team. Moreover, candidates must be physically capable of meeting the demands of the position, including standing, walking, lifting, and operating equipment as required in a dynamic hotel and convention center setting.
This is a full-time position with a salary range from $56,092 to $72,920, determined based on location, experience, and skills. The role may include additional compensation such as overtime, bonuses, or incentives. Encore emphasizes a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and belonging, offering comprehensive benefits packages designed to support employees and their families. Potential employees can anticipate an engaging work environment where professionalism, innovation, and teamwork are highly valued. This opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking to advance their careers in event technology within a respected, global company dedicated to delivering world-class audio-visual services.
