Job Requirements

  • Event planning experience of at least one year
  • Ability to work in person
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Ability to negotiate contracts
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial management
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks under pressure
  • Prior experience in hospitality or related fields preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in event planning or operations management within hospitality hotel restaurant or fundraising environments
  • Strong negotiation skills with ability to secure favorable contracts and vendor agreements
  • Excellent marketing acumen with experience in event marketing strategies
  • Demonstrated ability in upselling services or products to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Exceptional customer service skills focused on guest satisfaction and hospitality
  • Effective time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes and experience managing event financials
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Previous banquet or catering experience highly desirable hotel or restaurant background a plus

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to plan and coordinate all event aspects including venue selection catering entertainment and logistics
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors venues caterers and suppliers to secure favorable terms and value
  • Oversee event marketing efforts to promote events and increase attendance and engagement
  • Manage budgets by tracking expenses controlling costs and upselling additional services or amenities
  • Coordinate with catering teams banquet staff and hospitality providers to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Develop detailed timelines and checklists to ensure execution on schedule with high guest service standards
  • Handle on-site operations including setup troubleshooting and ensuring safety protocols
  • Maintain clear communication with clients vendors and team members throughout planning
