Job Description

Nashville Soccer Club, also known as Nashville SC, is a prominent professional soccer team based in Nashville, Tennessee. The club is a major part of Nashville's reputation as one of America's fastest-growing soccer hubs and an integral part of the city, often called "Music City." Nashville is widely recognized for hosting some of the world's most prestigious soccer events, including the CONCACAF Gold Cup, FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, and the FIFA Club World Cup. In addition to these high-profile events, Nashville SC boasts the largest soccer-specific stadium in Major League Soccer, known as GEODIS Park, which serves as the club's home ground. The club made Tennessee state history in 2025 by becoming the first professional sports team from the state to secure a championship.

The role available is for a part-time Event Operations Associate to join the GEODIS Park Event Operations team. This position focuses on supporting the planning and execution of Major League Soccer matches and other major sporting and entertainment events hosted at the stadium. The Event Operations Associate will play a vital role in ensuring that game days and other events proceed smoothly through meticulous preparation, coordination, and real-time problem-solving.

The job entails assisting with match-day preparations, including meeting locker room standards set by Major League Soccer, servicing the needs of visiting teams and league officials, supporting the referee crew before, during, and after games, producing and distributing match credentials, and leading event volunteers such as ball retrievers. Beyond match days, the associate helps with third-party and ancillary events, ensuring client expectations are met, collaborating with Event Management teams on operational details, and managing equipment logistics including storage and movement.

This role requires flexibility and availability of 20-25 hours per week, often including nights and weekends, with the possibility of working under adverse weather conditions. Game days can be long, sometimes extending to twelve hours or more, requiring stamina and the ability to lift and carry equipment. Candidates should possess a keen interest in sports and entertainment, be proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and exhibit excellent communication skills and professional etiquette.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic coupled with a positive, team-oriented attitude. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in sports event operations within a dynamic and growing professional soccer environment. Nashville SC prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer, fostering an inclusive workplace where diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences are valued and respected.
