Job Description

Flyspace Productions is a premier event production and management company based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Renowned for orchestrating some of Western Pennsylvania's most iconic events such as the Three Rivers Arts Festival, PicklesBurgh, Light Up Night, Oktoberfest, major concerts, corporate gatherings, and community celebrations, Flyspace Productions stands as a key player in bringing vibrant and memorable experiences to the region. With a deep commitment to excellence and creativity, the company thrives in the fast-paced world of live events, delivering seamless coordination and outstanding service across a diverse range of high-profile functions.

The company fosters a collaborative and dynamic work environment where teamwork, innovation, and dedication are highly valued. Flyspace Productions believes in empowering its staff and cultivating talent, offering opportunities for professional growth and the chance to be part of events that make a visible impact in the community. Their inclusive culture embraces diversity and encourages employees to bring their unique perspectives and skills to the table. This role is part-time, averaging 20 to 30 hours per week, with a competitive starting pay of $20.00 per hour and potential advancement into a full-time position.

The position available at Flyspace Productions is crucial to the success of these large-scale events as it involves the essential function of recruiting, scheduling, and supporting the workforce that operates them. This role is designed for someone who thrives on organizing people, solving problems, and managing complex logistical challenges. Candidates will find a rewarding environment where no two days are identical, oscillating between interviewing and onboarding staff, building efficient schedules, and troubleshooting staffing challenges on-site or remotely.

Individuals in this position are the linchpins that ensure each event is fully staffed and runs smoothly, working closely with various departments such as Operations, Human Resources, and Event Coordination. The role offers a mix of administrative duties, strategic planning, and hands-on involvement at Pittsburgh's largest events. The schedule includes a weekend on-call rotation to handle unexpected staffing needs and logistical requirements, which comes with added financial incentives such as on-call stipends and overtime pay.

This opportunity is ideal for proactive, organized, and communicative professionals who enjoy multitasking and taking ownership of their responsibilities. The candidate will use tools like Lasso for scheduling and be involved in refining staffing systems to enhance operational efficiency. Flyspace Productions values adaptability and a customer-focused approach, seeking applicants who are ready to contribute to an energetic and supportive team environment.

Beyond the immediate role, Flyspace Productions offers a culture that champions work-life balance with flexible scheduling aligned to event calendars, the ability to work remotely during on-call weekends, and a blend of in-office and on-site work. This position provides a unique chance to engage hands-on with some of Pittsburgh’s most celebrated events, offering both personal fulfillment and professional growth in the thriving field of event production and management.
