Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, is a global leader in the design, development, manufacturing, marketing, servicing, and support of the world’s most technologically advanced business jet aircraft. Located in Savannah, Gulfstream is dedicated to excellence in aviation, innovation, and customer satisfaction. With a rich heritage and a commitment to quality, Gulfstream has established a reputation as a top-tier company in the aerospace industry, serving an elite clientele with a strong emphasis on safety, performance, and luxury.

The company culture at Gulfstream prioritizes employees, believing they are at the heart of everything the company accomplishes. Gulfstream invests heavily in its workforce through development programs, fostering meaningful connections and cultivating a culture grounded in trust, respect, and integrity. This creates an environment where employees are empowered to reach their full potential, contribute effectively, and succeed collectively. Gulfstream believes that by nurturing its people, it not only advances its corporate mission but also enhances the world’s finest aviation experiences.

The Event Marketing Specialist 2 role, based at Gulfstream Aircraft Corporation in Savannah, offers an exciting opportunity for a professional skilled in orchestrating corporate, customer, and employee events with precision and flair. Eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus, this full-time position requires an individual capable of managing multifaceted events such as multi-day conferences, air shows, galas, sporting and hospitality events, employee offsite meetings, roadshows, internal meetings, luncheons, and family events.

This position demands expertise in logistics, client and guest experience, technical creativity, and analytical organization. The specialist will coordinate multiple venues, including hotels, convention centers, and aircraft displays, requiring the ability to manage numerous moving parts. Building and maintaining vendor relationships to secure priority services or better terms is a key aspect, as is onsite troubleshooting when challenges arise, such as last-minute schedule changes or technical difficulties.

In addition to logistics, the role emphasizes delivering white-glove hospitality experience aimed at VIP clients, careful design of guest flow to maximize comfort and engagement, and subtle brand integration in event aesthetics including décor and menus. Technical skills include proficiency with event technology platforms for registration, virtual and hybrid event tools, as well as live streaming setups. The ability to understand spatial design factors like room lighting and acoustics is essential, alongside creating compelling visual presentations for stakeholders.

On the analytical side, the specialist will apply data-informed strategies, utilizing attendee feedback, past event analytics, and ROI metrics to continuously refine event quality and effectiveness. Budget micro-management, cost monitoring, invoice processing, timeline discipline, and deadline management are critical for maintaining financial and operational control.

Soft skills are of paramount importance, with the ideal candidate demonstrating polished communication to inspire confidence among executives and clients, cross-team diplomacy to align priorities across sales, marketing, operations, and vendors, and an anticipatory mindset to resolve issues proactively before they impact guests or leadership.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least two years of relevant experience in aviation, marketing, public relations, or customer service. The candidate must be flexible with scheduling and able to work mandatory overtime when necessary. Up to 50% travel is part of the role, reflecting the dynamic nature of event coordination in various locations.

In summary, the Event Marketing Specialist 2 at Gulfstream Savannah is a challenging and rewarding opportunity designed for a strategic, creative, and detail-oriented individual. Their work will directly contribute to Gulfstream’s mission of delivering unparalleled aviation experiences by ensuring every event is executed at the highest level of professionalism and impact.
