Job Description
Cisco Systems is a global leader in networking technology, providing innovative solutions that power the internet and connect people and businesses around the world. Founded over 40 years ago, Cisco has continually evolved its portfolio to meet the demands of the digital era, specializing in networking hardware, telecommunications equipment, and high-technology services and products. Cisco is dedicated to shaping the future of technology with its comprehensive range of products and solutions that enable secure and efficient connectivity, visibility, and collaboration for organizations globally. The company’s commitment to innovation and excellence has positioned it as a trusted partner for enterprises seeking to accelerate their digital transformations.
The Cisco CXO Events team is an elite group within the organization, responsible for designing and delivering exceptional event experiences that engage customers, partners, and employees. This team draws from a diverse pool of strategists, marketers, designers, and technologists to create award-winning event activations and memorable experiences that align with Cisco’s brand values and business goals. The CXO Events team focuses on high-impact, experiential marketing initiatives that strengthen Cisco’s brand presence and deepen customer relationships.
The role of Event Marketing Manager in the CXO Events team centers around managing Cisco’s hospitality activations at designated Formula One races, as part of the strategic McLaren partnership. This pivotal role includes leading multiple hospitality programs at premier events, which often involve C-level guests and other executive stakeholders. The Event Marketing Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of these hospitality experiences—from initial strategic planning and concept development to execution, measurement, and post-event evaluation. The position requires collaboration with various internal teams such as Sponsorship Marketing, Field Marketing, executive stakeholders, and brand teams, as well as coordination with external partners and vendors.
As the steward of Cisco’s McLaren hospitality portfolio, the Event Marketing Manager plays a critical role in delivering premium, engaging customer experiences that align with brand objectives and sponsorship assets. This role includes overseeing the full customer journey, ensuring seamless pre-event engagement, immersive onsite experiences, and effective post-event follow-up. The manager will lead cross-functional teams to integrate branding, buildout, product showcasing, and guest experience, maximizing the value derived from Cisco’s investment in the McLaren partnership.
The ideal candidate is a passionate hospitality professional with a strong background in premium, white-glove experiential marketing programs. Experience working within a B2B technology environment and managing executive-level stakeholders is highly preferred, as is knowledge of Formula One hospitality environments and race operations. The role demands someone who is highly organized, proactive, and able to navigate complex, high-visibility environments with grace and confidence. Exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking abilities, and leadership qualities are essential for success.
The position is remote within the United States with an expected salary range of $165,000 to $208,000 per year, excluding incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Cisco offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid parental leave, disability coverage, life insurance, paid holidays, flexible vacation policies, and wellness days. The company supports professional growth and values diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being while fostering collaborative teamwork and innovation. This role requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally for events, site visits, and race support.
Joining Cisco means becoming part of a company revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era and beyond. Candidates will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and a global network of experts dedicated to making a meaningful impact. This role offers a unique chance to combine a passion for premium experiential marketing with the excitement of global sporting events to elevate Cisco’s brand and customer engagement strategies to new heights.
