Job Description
Bennett Acupuncture & Functional Medicine is a reputable healthcare establishment located in Fountain Valley, CA, dedicated to improving the lives of seniors through holistic acupuncture and functional medicine practices. This company specializes in helping seniors manage and alleviate conditions such as peripheral neuropathy, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), chronic pain, arthritis, memory concerns, balance problems, and overall healthy aging. Their mission is to help as many seniors as possible stay active, independent, and continue enjoying their lives without unnecessary suffering. By combining traditional acupuncture techniques with modern functional medicine, Bennett Acupuncture & Functional Medicine offers personalized care plans aimed at improving patients' quality of life.
The role of Event Marketing & Community Outreach Coordinator at Bennett Acupuncture & Functional Medicine is a part-time to full-time position with a flexible schedule that ranges between $2,000 and $6,000 or more per month, depending on experience, accountability, performance, and measurable results. This dynamic position is essential for advancing the company's mission by creating and maintaining a robust schedule of educational presentations, community events, and outreach opportunities that introduce seniors to the benefits of acupuncture and functional medicine. The individual in this role will be instrumental in building community connections and developing relationships with various senior organizations, including senior centers, 55+ communities, retirement communities, churches, and service clubs like Rotary, Kiwanis, and Lions Clubs.
This position requires the coordinator to schedule 2 to 3 presentations each week on important topics such as peripheral neuropathy, Parkinson's disease, and other conditions affecting seniors, as well as the benefits of acupuncture for healthy aging. It involves managing ongoing relationships with community partners, securing future speaking engagements, and filling any cancellations promptly. The coordinator will also take charge of identifying and participating in local community events such as city-sponsored programs, festivals, and nonprofit fundraisers that serve seniors. They will handle all aspects of event management, including applications, booth reservations, logistics coordination, staffing, setup, breakdown, and follow-up.
Additional responsibilities include managing the Medical Assistant externship program by fostering relationships with medical assistant schools to ensure a steady pipeline of externs, handling marketing administration duties like maintaining contact databases, RSVP lists, marketing inventory, and preparing reporting metrics. The position demands a highly organized, friendly, outgoing, professional, self-motivated individual who thrives in networking and event coordination, with the ability to multitask and manage projects independently.
The coordinator's schedule is varied, with a mix of business hours dedicated to outreach and planning, evening educational presentations, and weekend attendance at community events. This flexibility is crucial as many impactful community outreach opportunities happen outside traditional business hours. Because this role directly impacts how many seniors the organization can serve monthly, the coordinator's success translates into real, measurable community benefits. This career opportunity not only allows the individual to help others but also to grow personally and professionally within a supportive and mission-driven environment.
