The company values a high-energy, collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and fosters creativity in event execution. With a reputation for impeccable attention to detail and a passion for perfection, Walters Wedding Estates stands out as a leader in the hospitality and event management industry, attracting clients who seek not just events but unforgettable experiences.
The role of Event Manager at Walters Wedding Estates offers an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about event management and customer service to take a leading position within the food and beverage team during events. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this part-time role specifically centers on weekends and evenings when events occur, making it ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic, high-energy settings and are keen on contributing to memorable celebrations. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20 to $22 per hour depending on experience, along with benefits such as a 401k plan with a 4% match, emphasizing the company's commitment to supporting its employees' financial well-being.
As an Event Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the timely and efficient setup, execution, and breakdown of events. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the hiring and training processes for banquet staff, including bartenders, servers, and dishwashers, ensuring the team is well-prepared to deliver excellent service. Managing and scheduling hourly staff to maintain optimal staffing levels will be key to the smooth operation of each event. Upholding the highest standards of food safety and ensuring compliance with all handling guidelines are critical in maintaining the venue's reputation for quality and safety.
Exceptional customer service is at the heart of this role, and you will be expected to execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) precisely, aiming to exceed guest expectations and secure 5-star reviews. Your leadership skills will be tested as you lead the food and beverage and back-of-house operations, nurturing and coaching employees, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a positive team environment. Responsibilities also include maintaining venue cleanliness before and after events, as well as assisting in procuring and managing event-specific supplies, including alcohol, to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
This role demands a candidate who is physically capable of standing or walking for 8-12 hours and frequently lifting up to 30 lbs, a reflection of the active and hands-on nature of event management at Walters Wedding Estates. Eligibility to work in the United States is required as the company participates in E-Verify, alongside a need to pass a background check and possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. If you are ready to transform dreams into reality and help drive unforgettable celebrations, the Event Manager position at Walters Wedding Estates offers a rewarding and dynamic career path in the event management industry.
