The role available is that of an Event Manager, a critical position within the organization responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of events hosted at the venue. The Event Manager will plan, coordinate, and execute events efficiently to meet the venue's standards and clients' expectations. This role demands an individual with excellent organizational skills, leadership ability, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive event operation plans including setup tasks, floor plans, and cost estimates; coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal departments; and ensuring compliance with safety and venue policies. Additionally, the Event Manager will actively engage with sales, marketing, finance, human resources, and security teams to align event execution with broader organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, or Business
  • 3-5 years of event management experience
  • Working knowledge of facility management and services
  • Experience with budget preparation and control
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to maintain professional knowledge and apply problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of event operations and crowd control techniques
  • Understanding of supervision and training principles
  • Familiarity with safety and public fire regulations
  • Proficiency with A/V technology and relevant event management software
  • Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one

  • Certified Meeting Professional certification is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one

Job Duties

  • Acts as the central contact during all phases of event management for clients and contractors
  • Receives, assembles, and distributes event information to team members
  • Provide leadership and guidance for event personnel
  • Oversees and manages all event-related services provided by the venue
  • Ensure team members and clients are familiar with safety and emergency procedures during events
  • Coordinate and utilize the event records management system
  • Works with team members to develop and maintain a positive customer service level
  • Handles coordination of Event Work Orders and Event Change Orders for billing
  • Ensure clients and contractors follow building policies, rules, and regulations
  • Provides on-floor management of event-related services
  • Set up and coordinate primary and pre-event meetings
  • Provides a complete schedule and record of show activity
  • Experience with budget management and vendor relationships
  • Conduct pre, during, and post event walkthroughs for setup and safety
  • Guide clients in understanding contract provisions, policies, and procedures
  • Provide exceptional service to clients
  • Maintain constant communication with clients for event logistics
  • Ensure daily post reports are sent during load-in, event days, and load-out
  • Proficient in forecasting, financial management, and database management
  • Prepare post-event settlement with finance
  • Other duties as assigned
