Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is recognized globally as a leader in the premium live entertainment infrastructure and services industry. Founded in 2015, OVG specializes in the development, management, and operation of world-class venues across four continents, including arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions. With ownership and partnerships managing seven premier venues, OVG combines state-of-the-art infrastructure with comprehensive venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales capabilities to deliver exceptional live entertainment experiences. This global platform ensures both clients and audiences enjoy seamless, innovative, and memorable events wherever they operate, with a strong commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

One of the flagship venues managed by Oak View Group is the Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) and its Campus, a key location for a wide variety of conventions, trade shows, and public events. The Event Manager position at MBCC represents a pivotal role within the organization, being central to the success of every event hosted at this iconic venue. The role encompasses responsibility over the entire event lifecycle—from initial planning, coordinating with numerous stakeholders, to final execution and post-event analysis. This full-spectrum event management approach ensures that every aspect of the event is addressed with precision, professionalism, and a strong focus on service excellence.

The Event Manager acts as the principal liaison between clients, internal teams including sales and hospitality, contract partners, and external organizations such as the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB). This collaborative role requires the ability to navigate diverse stakeholder needs while maintaining a hospitable and client-first approach aligned with MBCC’s service standards. Hosting successful events involves not only managing logistics but also driving initiatives around sustainability, revenue growth, and continuous operational improvement. The Event Manager is visible throughout event operations, championing hospitality-led service standards and prompt resolution of any operational challenges.

This position offers an annual salary ranging from $60,000 to $70,000 and is structured as a full-time role, featuring a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions; and paid time off encompassing vacation days, sick leave, and eleven paid holidays. The Event Manager role supports a dynamic schedule involving a typical Monday through Friday workweek, with flexibility for occasional long hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by events and client needs.

This employment opportunity remains open until June 19, 2026, reflecting OVG’s dedication to securing top talent committed to excellence in event management. The preferred candidate will bring strong organizational skills, deep event industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering superior client experiences in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. Additionally, OVG values diversity and inclusion, recognizing that a varied workforce enhances innovation, service quality, and overall excellence, and is committed to equal employment opportunities for all candidates without discrimination.
