Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in convention centers or multi-use venues
- Proficient communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment

- Financial forecasting and budgeting skills
- Knowledge of union labor
- Sales and upselling ability
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Momentus and AutoCAD
- Experience with work order systems
- Familiarity with procurement platforms
- Preferred certifications include CMP, CSEP, PMP
- OSHA 10 certification a plus
- Ability to work irregular hours and weekends
- Professional appearance and grooming
- Must maintain a visible and responsive presence during events
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, business administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event or convention services, hospitality, or related industry
- Experience with convention centers, hotels with meeting spaces, or multi-use venues
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities
- Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environments
- Proven customer service and conflict resolution expertise
- Financial proficiency in forecasting, billing, and budgeting
- Familiarity with event services and banquet standards
- Collaborative team player with cross-department coordination skills
- Knowledge of union labor environments
- Sales minded approach with ability to identify upsell opportunities
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Experienced with Momentus (Ungerboeck), AutoCAD, and database management tools
- Knowledge of Corrigo or similar maintenance management systems
- Familiarity with Coupa or procurement platforms
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) preferred
- Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) a plus
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred
- OSHA 10 certification a plus
- Additional certifications in sustainability, revenue management, digital event strategy, or venue management valued
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for MBCC and MBCC Campus events
- Coordinate and conduct pre-planning site visits with clients and stakeholders
- Facilitate pre-conference meetings and post-event debriefs to communicate objectives and feedback
- Lead clients in compliance with Event License Agreements, venue policies, and event best practices
- Provide exceptional client service by anticipating challenges and proactively resolving issues
- Support sales teams with site inspections and ensure smooth transition to event management
- Identify upsell opportunities to enhance event experiences and generate additional revenue
- Collaborate with Food & Beverage provider to align logistical needs
- Maintain visible presence during event phases for issue resolution
- Oversee full client experience from sales turnover to event wrap-up
- Prepare and distribute event documentation in advance
- Coordinate all venue services and contract partners
- Ensure on-site oversight for communications, execution, safety compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction
- Conduct walkthroughs to ensure event readiness and venue condition
- Resolve operational challenges through collaboration
- Utilize Momentus and Corrigo platforms for planning and maintenance
- Coordinate labor costs and deposits with technical partners
- Distribute daily event reports to stakeholders
- Employ Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and data tools to support workflows
- Manage financial processes including work orders, estimates, and billing
- Inform clients of any changes in event charges
- Support revenue forecasting and compliance with procurement policies
- Deliver high-touch service to clients, exhibitors, and attendees
- Respond promptly to issues and collaborate on emergency preparedness
- Maintain culinary and banquet standards alignment
- Champion sustainability and green event practices
- Complete post-event debriefs and client surveys
- Lead internal and external meetings to ensure alignment and readiness
- Mentor Event Coordinator through coaching
- Participate in Food & Beverage provider meetings
- Perform additional event-related duties as assigned
