With a focus on creating powerful and engaging experiences, ITA Group leverages its expertise to foster stronger relationships between organizations and their audiences. The company has earned recognition as a Great Place to Work and is committed to cultivating a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic workplace. We prioritize the professional growth and well-being of our team members by offering comprehensive benefits such as competitive retirement contributions, health, dental and vision insurance, paid parental leave, flexible work arrangements, Volunteer Time Off, paid sabbaticals, anniversary awards, and more. ITA Group takes pride in being an equal opportunity employer, embracing diversity and ensuring all applicants receive fair consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability.
The Meetings & Events Event Manager at ITA Group plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the seamless operation of event travel and virtual event programs for key clients. This position demands a highly organized and enthusiastic professional who can effectively manage multiple events simultaneously, often balancing strategic leadership duties alongside independent execution. The Event Manager is responsible for designing custom-crafted, impactful experiences that engage and inspire attendees, supporting the overarching goals of client organizations. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional internal teams to guarantee that all deliverables are met, budgets remain balanced, and client expectations are not only met but anticipated and exceeded.
In addition to internal coordination, the Event Manager actively manages relationships with external third-party suppliers, ensuring optimal partnerships that contribute to successful event execution. The position requires a forward-thinking approach capable of assessing how changes or delays in one project area could impact the larger event picture, with a proactive mindset that embraces innovation and challenges the status quo. Candidates for this role should be adept at communication, negotiation, and business writing, capable of presenting to clients and fostering strong interpersonal connections across all levels of management. Travel requirements for the Event Manager include the ability to be on the road up to 25-30% of the year, reflecting the dynamic and sometimes international scope of the events managed.
Successful professionals in this role demonstrate excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently, and strong relationship-building capabilities. The expectation is for the Event Manager to display ownership, accountability, and a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional client experiences. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is essential, alongside a solid understanding of financial and accounting principles related to budget preparation and profitability assessment. Experience negotiating within business environments and working effectively within a matrix organizational structure are highly valued. Ultimately, the Meetings & Events Event Manager is integral to bringing strategic visions to life through well-executed, memorable events that drive client engagement and success.
