Job Description

We are a well-established organization dedicated to hosting professional corporate events, networking gatherings, and client-facing experiences primarily at our Long Beach office. Our company prides itself on delivering polished, high-quality events that foster meaningful connections and support business objectives. Operating in a vibrant and dynamic environment, we focus on creating seamless event experiences that engage attendees and reflect the professionalism and values of our organization. As a reputable presence in the Long Beach business community, we regularly host events ranging from 50 to 200 participants, fostering collaboration and networking opportunities for our clients, partners, and staff.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Event Manager to join our team in a semi-flexible contract role. This position involves the planning and execution of onsite corporate and networking events with a particular emphasis on detail-oriented coordination and excellent communication. The role is based onsite in Long Beach, California, offering a work schedule from Monday to Friday with 40 hours per week and a compensation rate of $40 per hour under a W2 employment status. This contract opportunity spans from June 2026 through August 2026, with the potential for extension based on ongoing event needs.

The Event Manager will play a pivotal role in managing event logistics, vendor relationships, timelines, budgets, and the overall guest experience to ensure each event runs seamlessly. Key responsibilities include coordinating catering services, audiovisual equipment, rentals, onsite setup, execution, and event breakdown. This role demands strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and solve problems swiftly in a fast-paced environment, and experience managing vendors and onsite event operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting occasional evening events and will collaborate closely with internal teams to execute polished, high-quality events that align with the company’s standards and goals. This position specifically supports a diverse range of events from individual assignments to longer-term engagements lasting up to three months, providing a dynamic and engaging work experience in the field of corporate event management.
