Job Description
Maritz is a renowned company with a deep-rooted history of innovation and dedication, truly centered on the power of human connection. Established over decades, Maritz has built a reputable culture that values collaboration, creativity, and the potential of its people. The company specializes in designing experiences, incentives, and recognition programs that inspire individuals and propel businesses toward achieving substantial and measurable goals. At Maritz, the emphasis is on fostering a human-first design internally by building supportive, caring teams that thrive through genuine collaboration and mutual respect. This commitment to employee well-being is reflected in their employee survey results, which report high levels of appreciation, care from management, and a flexible work environment conducive to work-life balance.
Joining Maritz means becoming part of a forward-thinking organization that not only values but invests deeply in its workforce, creating an empowered environment where employees can excel without compromising personal priorities. Maritz's culture nurtures excellence and innovation, driven by people who are supported to grow and make meaningful contributions.
The role of Event Manager III at Maritz is pivotal in continuing this legacy of exceptional service and operational excellence. This position serves as the primary client point of contact for onsite meetings and events at the client’s campus, acting as a strategic planner and execution specialist. The Event Manager III is entrusted with managing event planning from inception to delivery, ensuring that all logistical details align perfectly with client expectations and program objectives. This includes high-level coordination of event strategy, budgeting, content development, and production needs while maintaining unparalleled service quality.
The ideal candidate will have robust experience handling large-scale, complex events, including executive-level gatherings with attendance exceeding 2,500 participants. The role demands strong client interaction capabilities, requiring the manager to act as the brand ambassador for the Product Area and lead collaborative meetings to ensure alignment and success. Key responsibilities include overseeing major event programs like the New Hire Series, managing vendor relationships, and coordinating with internal service partners such as catering, facilities, security, and technology support.
Attention to detail is critical as the Event Manager III must maintain precise event workbooks, manage timelines, lead pre-conference meetings, and ensure venue readiness across Executive Business Center spaces. The position is a hybrid onsite role, with some travel occasionally required for event support. The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000, and Maritz offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, paid parental leave, a 401k plan, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and a year-end holiday closure.
Maritz is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, providing an equal opportunity workplace free from discrimination or harassment. They are dedicated to accommodating individuals with disabilities during the application process and emphasize the importance of hiring candidates authorized to work permanently in the U.S., with no sponsorship available. This position offers a career opportunity to join a company that values excellence, human connection, and the potential to make a real impact through purposeful event management.
