Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in event management or hospitality industry
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in relevant event management tools and software
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration or related field preferred
- Proven experience in event management or coordination, preferably in hotel or resort settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to negotiate contracts and manage budgets
- Proficiency with event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to collaborate across departments
Job Duties
- Responsible for successful execution of event and customer satisfaction to ensure customer remains loyal and books future business with hotel
- Verbal and written communication with customer and internal team regarding payment structure, room block management, food and beverage, public room rental and exhibit hall fees, incremental and affiliate revenue streams, performance damages and master billing process
- Directs customer services via site visits and planning meetings for definite and potential groups and effectively showcase the property and all services
- Maximize revenues and controls expenses through effective negotiation of services and accurate forecasting
- Respond to guest inquiries and special requests and resolve issues or concerns in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- Attendance required at forecasting meetings, menu review, department, citywide pre-cons, and operational department pre shifts meetings if applicable
