Known for its innovative approach to event planning and execution, Odyssey Exposure ensures that every event reflects the dedication and passion of its clients, making a tangible difference in the community they serve. The company offers an inclusive, equal opportunity workplace that welcomes diverse applicants from all backgrounds without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status. The work environment is in-person within Columbus, allowing team members to engage directly with clients, vendors, and event venues to deliver top-quality service and experiences.
The role of Event Manager at Odyssey Exposure is an excellent opportunity for those seeking an entry point into the world of event management, especially recent graduates or early-career professionals eager to gain hands-on experience and develop their organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing pop-up events for nonprofit clients across Columbus, handling every aspect of the event lifecycle from initial concept through to clean-up. Your duties will include managing budgets, timelines, vendor relationships, and serving as the main client liaison, making sure that each event runs smoothly and positively showcases client missions. This position demands strong organizational capabilities, adaptability to changing conditions on site, and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. It involves coordinating with vendors such as venues, caterers, audiovisual teams, and rental companies, as well as internal team members and volunteers to ensure adequate staffing and seamless event execution.
Moreover, this role offers competitive starting compensation, ranging from 55,000 to 68,000 dollars per year. Beyond salary, Odyssey Exposure invests in professional development, providing assistance to help employees build their skill sets and advance their careers. The position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a high-energy, dynamic environment and want to contribute to nonprofits making a real difference in their communities. The role requires reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for onsite visits and event days. Odyssey Exposure encourages candidates with no prior event experience to apply, promising comprehensive training and mentorship to help you master the ropes of event management.
