Job Description

The Company is a leading North American sales and marketing agency specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management, and marketing services tailored for manufacturers, suppliers, and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. Serving a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics, and home centers, the Company bridges the gap between manufacturers and retailers. This ensures that consumers have access to the best products available in today's marketplace. With a broad footprint across multiple industries and markets, the Company prides itself on delivering high-impact promotional events, flawless merchandising strategies, and robust operational support across its network of warehouses and retail partners.

The Event Manager Designate (EMD) role offers a dynamic leadership opportunity within the Company to manage and adapt operations across multiple warehouses in assigned metro areas. The EMD serves in two pivotal roles depending on the operational requirements. When assigned to a specific warehouse, the EMD assumes full Event Manager responsibilities, managing all warehouse operations and ensuring smooth execution of events, product demonstrations, and promotional activities. When not directly attached to a specific location, the EMD provides critical operational support, quality assurance, training, development, recruiting, and strategic market support to maintain overall operational excellence.

This flexible leadership position requires the ability to lead onsite teams, coordinate between diverse stakeholders, and ensure compliance with food safety and operational standards. The EMD must foster strong relationships with warehouse leadership and district teams, guiding demonstration staff through coaching, task assignments, and performance management while supporting cross-functional communication and continuity. The role demands adaptability to shifting priorities and unexpected challenges, alongside a customer-focused mindset to create positive consumer engagement during events. Some travel is expected, with the role demanding a proactive approach to problem solving and organizational efficiency within often fast-changing retail environments.

Candidates must possess an associate degree or equivalent experience, along with four to six years of relevant retail or customer-facing experience. The position involves extensive physical activity, including standing for prolonged periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, often in variable temperature settings such as refrigerated or freezer units. The Company values a commitment to diversity and equal opportunity and provides reasonable accommodations to qualified applicants and employees with disabilities. This role remains open until filled, offering an enriching career opportunity for individuals ready to take on a key leadership position in a vibrant and growing sales and marketing agency.
