Job Description
The Company is a premier sales and marketing agency renowned in North America for its specialized outsourced services in sales, merchandising, category management, and marketing tailored for manufacturers, suppliers, and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. Our services span a wide array of retail trade channels including grocery chains, mass merchandise outlets, specialty stores, convenience shops, drug stores, dollar outlets, club stores, hardware sellers, consumer electronics vendors, and home centers. By connecting manufacturers and retailers, the Company plays a crucial role in delivering the best marketplace products directly to consumers.\n\nWe are currently seeking a dedicated Event Manager Designate (EMD) who will provide dynamic leadership across multiple warehouse locations in designated metro areas. The EMD role is uniquely flexible, requiring the capability to fulfill two critical roles depending on operational demand. At times, the EMD will take full charge as the Event Manager in a specific warehouse, managing all warehouse operations to ensure smooth event execution and operational excellence. At other times, the EMD will work across the market providing essential support functions, including operational oversight, quality assurance, staff training and development, recruitment, and strategic planning.\n\nThis position is vital for executing onsite events such as product demonstrations and promotional activities that align with company standards. The Event Manager Designate will drive revenue and operational goals by guaranteeing event accuracy and product readiness, while actively engaging team members for optimal performance. Managing demonstration staff through task assignment, coaching, and reinforcing company expectations falls under the EMD’s purview alongside collaborating closely with warehouse leadership to ensure seamless operational execution. The role demands sharp focus on monitoring event performance metrics like execution rates, sales figures, labor usage, and operational challenges with timely escalation as needed. Compliance with food safety standards, demonstration protocols, and operating procedures is critical. Additionally, the EMD must demonstrate adaptability to prioritize shifting needs and provide support across multiple warehouse sites. Strong partnership with district leadership, sales, and operations teams is essential for maintaining communication and continuity during coverage periods.\n\nIdeal candidates will have relevant retail or customer-facing experience, an associate degree or equivalent, and a willingness to travel occasionally. The role entails supervisory responsibility for both direct and indirect reports, including hiring, training, coaching, and guiding staff to meet company-wide performance and operational standards. The physical demands of the role require spending considerable time on foot and engaging in tasks that may involve lifting up to 50 pounds within variable retail environments such as refrigerated, deli, and bakery sections. The Company promotes equal opportunity and reasonable accommodations in employment to support all qualified individuals. This opportunity is ideal for driven professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and seek to develop their leadership capabilities in a fast-paced retail operational setting.
