Job Description
The Company is one of North America's leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management, and marketing services. It serves manufacturers, suppliers, and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods to ensure that the best products reach consumers through a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics, and home centers. This extensive network bridges the gap between manufacturers and retailers, providing consumers access to high-quality products widely available in the marketplace. The company prides itself on its strategic approach to sales and its operational excellence across multiple locations, making it a key player in its industry.
The Event Manager Designate (EMD) role offers adaptable leadership across multiple warehouses in assigned metro areas by shifting between two key roles based on operational needs. When assigned to a specific warehouse, the EMD assumes full Event Manager responsibilities and manages all warehouse operations. In this capacity, the EMD leads onsite execution of events, product demonstrations, and promotional activities ensuring alignment with company standards. When not assigned to a specific location, the EMD provides operational support, quality assurance, training, development, recruiting, and strategic support throughout the market region, ensuring consistent performance and operational alignment among multiple warehouses. This balance of on-the-ground leadership and market-wide oversight makes the role dynamic and influential within the company’s operational framework.
The EMD is responsible for supporting revenue and operational goals by guaranteeing event accuracy, product readiness, and effective engagement with team members, while delivering coaching and daily direction to demonstration staff. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with warehouse leadership is essential to ensure seamless event execution across locations. Monitoring event performance metrics such as execution rates, sales results, labor usage, and other operational issues forms a key part of the role, including escalating concerns and recommending adjustments as necessary. The EMD is required to ensure compliance with food safety standards, demonstration protocols, and all operational procedures, while demonstrating adaptability in a fast-paced and often-changing environment. Partnering with district leadership, sales, and operations teams during coverage periods is critical for shared communication and operational continuity.
This position requires a customer-focused mindset capable of creating positive member experiences with strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. The job environment is typically retail and in-store, occasionally involving work in refrigerated or freezer sections, and requires physical stamina to handle the demands of the role such as lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. The company values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity employment and making reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities. The role offers a unique opportunity for candidates who thrive in dynamic, leadership-intensive roles requiring both hands-on management and strategic support within a top-tier sales and marketing organization.
