Job Description
Fever Originals is an innovative event production company that has been redefining the classical music concert experience since July 2019 through their Candlelight series. Candlelight concerts are characterized by their unique candlelit settings, which create an intimate and enchanting atmosphere for audiences. These performances take place in some of the most undiscovered and charming venues across major cities globally, including Paris, Toulouse, and Lyon in France; Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, and Valencia in Spain; Lisbon and Porto in Portugal; and Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago in the United States. The company is continuously expanding, bringing this magical experience to new cities and a broader audience.
Candlelight’s mission is to democratize classical music by making it more accessible and approachable to the general public. By doing so, they provide not only phenomenal musical performances but also a unique, memorable experience that combines the ambiance of candlelight with the beauty of live classical music. Currently present in over 300 cities worldwide, Candlelight concerts are rapidly growing in popularity among music lovers and those seeking a distinct cultural experience.
We are currently seeking a part-time onsite Event Manager to join our dedicated team for Candlelight concerts in Phoenix. This role is essential in ensuring that every event runs smoothly, maintaining the high standard Candlelight has set for its audiences. The Event Manager acts as the primary point of contact at the venue, coordinating with staff and Fever Originals management to guarantee seamless execution from setup to breakdown.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all onsite operations during the events. This includes managing schedules, communicating with staffing agencies, training employees to perform their specific duties, and ensuring that all event supplies and inventory are meticulously organized. Additionally, the Event Manager will handle logistical aspects such as transporting event materials to and from venues and managing guest lists. Clear communication and customer service are paramount, as the Event Manager represents the Fever and Candlelight brands directly to attendees.
This position demands a proactive, organized individual with a passion for live music and event management. Candidates should be comfortable leading and motivating a team in a fast-paced environment and be adept at solving problems that arise during live events. Experience with audio-visual and public address systems is desirable, as is the ability to manage event-related administrative tasks like printing and reporting. A valid driver’s license is strongly preferred to facilitate transportation responsibilities.
This part-time role offers up to 29 hours per week, with varied shift lengths ranging from 4-8 hours, including some holiday work (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas). The contract is initially for six months, with the potential for extension based on performance and company needs. Compensation is set at $25 per hour, with further details discussed during the interview process. Transportation costs are incorporated into the hourly rate and are not reimbursed separately.
By joining Fever Originals as a Candlelight Event Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing company that is creatively reshaping how classical music is experienced. This role offers not only a chance to work within a passionate team but also possibilities for career advancement within Fever Originals and its expanding portfolio of immersive events. The hiring process includes a 30-minute video interview followed by a paid trial day to ensure a good fit for our dynamic team.
