The Events Manager role at Anthology Events is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized, energetic, and hospitality-driven professional passionate about creating memorable experiences. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of private events from the initial contract through to event completion. The Events Manager acts as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring seamless communication and flawless event delivery. This position demands an individual who thrives in fast-paced environments, pays close attention to details, and excels at multitasking across various event components. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong communication skills, the ability to manage client relationships effectively, and a solutions-oriented mindset particularly when adapting to the dynamic needs of live events.
Key responsibilities include guiding clients through menu selections, venue tours, rentals, decor, timelines, and logistics, while collaborating with culinary, operations, sales, and venue teams to coordinate all aspects of events. Additionally, the Events Manager will handle operational coordination such as vendor logistics, staffing needs, inventory management, and event documentation. Financial oversight is also a critical component, involving tracking deposits, payments, budget management, contract compliance, and reporting. The position requires a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands and client needs.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in event management or hospitality
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software
- Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving skills
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Attention to detail and commitment to high service standards
Job Qualifications
- 2-5 years of event management, catering, hospitality, hotel, or venue experience
- Experience managing weddings, social events, corporate functions, or luxury hospitality events preferred
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and client relationship management abilities
- Ability to remain calm and solutions-oriented in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event management software
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the event planning process
- Conduct planning meetings, venue tours, and site visits
- Develop event timelines, floor plans, and detailed event orders
- Manage client communications and ensure all event details are accurately documented
- Guide clients through menu selections, rentals, decor, timelines, and logistical planning
- Oversee on-site event operations from setup through breakdown
- Coordinate with culinary, operations, sales, and venue teams to ensure successful execution
- Act as the lead contact during events, proactively resolving issues and adapting to changing needs
- Ensure service standards and guest experience expectations are consistently met
- Communicate event details effectively across all departments
- Maintain accurate event documentation and planning systems
- Confirm vendor logistics, deliveries, staffing needs, and event requirements
- Assist with inventory, rental coordination, and operational planning as needed
- Track event deposits, payments, and billing details
- Review event costs and assist with budget management
- Ensure contracts, insurance certificates, and event documentation are completed and organized
- Support reporting and event forecasting efforts
