Total Expo, Inc. is a leading event general contracting company with over 30 years of industry experience, specializing in delivering exceptional trade show and corporate event solutions. They partner with corporations, associations, and trade show organizers across the United States to orchestrate seamless, high-impact events from initial concept through final execution. Known for their comprehensive event management, production support, and general contracting services, Total Expo, Inc. prides itself on its commitment to quality, client satisfaction, and cutting-edge event solutions that meet the evolving needs of its diverse clientele. Operating as a family-owned business, Total Expo offers a collaborative culture and opportunities for career growth within a dynamic industry.
The role of Account/Event Manager at Total Expo, Inc., located onsite in Carson, CA, is a full-time position focused on managing and enhancing client relationships, coordinating event execution, and driving new business development within the trade show and corporate events sector. This strategic, results-oriented role is pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction and successful event delivery. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary liaison between clients, event facilities, and internal operations, facilitating clear communication and seamless coordination among all parties involved in event production.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the life cycle of event planning—from logistics and vendor management to budget tracking and post-event analysis. The role requires preparation of customized proposals, managing sales pipelines, and negotiating contracts to support revenue growth. Candidates are expected to attend industry trade shows and networking events to cultivate existing client relationships and uncover new business opportunities. Operational management duties include collaborating with the operations team to streamline event setup, oversee event documentation, and provide on-site supervision during events to ensure flawless execution.
Total Expo values professionals with strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, and excellent communication capabilities. Experience working with General Services Contractors (GSC) and knowledge of industry regulations, union jurisdictions, and show floor operations are highly advantageous. Candidates should also possess the capability to understand floor plan layouts (CAD), production timelines, and freight logistics relevant to event execution.
This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k matching, profit sharing, paid holidays and vacation, and performance reviews. Candidates must be willing to work extended hours during event periods, occasionally including weekends, and travel up to 25 percent or more based on preference. Physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, and the ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor environments.
Total Expo, Inc. fosters an inclusive and supportive workplace culture, emphasizing equal employment opportunity and respect for all employees. They hire solely based on talent and passion, maintaining a commitment to diversity and inclusion throughout their workforce.
